Group Fitness Classes are held every Saturday morning at 10:00am and or 11:00am

Classes fill up quickly therefore it is requested that notice of a day or two is provided to reserve your space. Maximum number of people per class is 8. Every class can be modified for your fitness level and most ailments you may have. Gear up for motivating workouts that will shed the pounds, increase your energy and connect mind-body and spirit. Please call with any questions or concerns.

Cardiovascular Training
In a nut shell Cardiovascular Training can be defined simply as your body's ability to get oxygen and blood to the muscles. Basically, when you do physical activity and your heart rate increases and your breathing gets deeper, you are using your cardiovascular system. The 'short' term is 'Cardio'.  Even though it may be very challenging especially at first, it's important to remember that you can improve your cardiovascular system's efficiency through regular training.

Resistance Training
Resistance training works to increase muscle strength and endurance by doing repetitive exercises with weights, weight machines, or resistance bands. One of Angela's favorite training methods is training with body resistance, using nothing but your own body weight to get a great workout! One of the many benefits of this method is you don't need any equipment and it cuts out the 'excuses'.

Interval Training
Interval training has been the basis for athletic training routines for many years. It consists of fast bursts of intensive exercise alternated with slow, easy activity. At Peace of Fitness we design sophisticated interval program methods of training for athletic performance enhancement. We also design interval programs that are specifically suited to individual athletes by measuring intervals that match the athlete's sport, event and current level of conditioning.

Core Focus
Core exercises are extremely effective. The best part of doing core exercises is that it will increase your energy level and balance.  By strengthening your core muscles, you will feel that your posture has improved and you will feel much stronger doing any type of physical activity. You'll see Core work integrated into many of the classes we offer.
 
Cardio Kickboxing
Nothing like a heart pumping workout with kicks and punches to some good music to get you motivated! We get you training in your Target Heart Rate Zone to shed the pounds and get a toned physique. Don't forget the Core work -it seems to sneak in everywhere - it's that important.

Bridal Boot camp
Being a bride is hard work! So much planning, preparations and add to the mix the want and need to fit into 'the dress' and look and feel your absolute best, it's no easy task. Let Angela take the workout 'to do' list off your hands, just make the appointments, show up and get the workouts you need to reach your goals AND get the tools you need to maintain your healthy lifestyle post wedding.

Post Natal
Another milestone that's not always easy.  Being a new mom herself Angela can give you just what you need to get your body not to your 'pre pregnancy weight' but to the shape you want to be in. Learn simple and effective workouts that you can even include your baby in! There's no excuses here, do you know there are simple exercises you can and should start as soon as you deliver? Very important not to put this off, the longer you wait the harder it can be to loose the pounds. 

Tai Chi
Tai chi is a 2000 yr old unique Chinese Martial Art Exercise that simultaneously heals the physcial, mental, emotional, and spiritual body.  With Tai Chi you can boost your energy levels, dramatically improve your health, slow your aging process, become more creative and significantly lower your stress levels.  All this is only scratching the surface of Tai Chi's benefits.


Chi Gong
Chi Gong is a unique Chinese exercise system. Through individual effort, practitioners build up their health and prevent illness by combining discipline of mind, body and the body's "Qi" (vital force). Qigong draws on many elements. It includes regulating the body through posture, regulating the mind through quiet, relaxation and concentration of one's mental activity, regulating the breath, self-massage and movement of the limbs. There are so many benefits to Chi Gong and Tai Chi, both are methods of training everyone should practice in their lives.

 
Mat Pilates
Gravity allows the body to supply its own resistance in Basic Mat Pilates. Comparatively few repetitions are needed for each exercise. Pliates movements focus on core muscle groups known as "the powerhouse" -- the abdomen, lower back, and buttocks--and emphasize deep, coordinated breathing.  Pilates exercises aren't jarring to joints, so if you have a history of joint problems, you may be able to do them under supervision without fear of injury or joint or muscle stress.

Nutrition
What can we say about nutrition..it's 80% of the big picture. If your goals are to loose weight, get into better health, gain energy, heal your body, any of the above or so much more, NUTRITION is vital! Does that get the point across enough? At peace of fitness we focus on a Natural, Whole Food approach to eating. Learn about ingredients, learn about how they effect your body and learn the tools you will need to make the best decisions you can about what goes in. Tours of Whole Food Market or the grocery store of your choice are also an option, whatever it takes to teach you the importance of nutrition and put what you learn into affect. Of course we would never talk about nutrition and leave out supplements. Most people are deficient in vitamins and minerals, with a natural and holistic approach we'll teach you about what you need, why you need them and how/where to get them.

Meal Plans

If you need a bit more help on nutrition after learning the above, we have you covered. We can develop a structured meal plan that will meet your needs. It can be as easy as following a day to day outlined plan with times, meals and recipes or even just a guide of healthy foods to eat throughout the day.

Outer Limits Boot camp
Doesn't the title say it all...This is for the extremist. Take your body to it's maximum performance with Outer Limits Boot camp.  If you are confident in your fitness level, if you need to change things up in a new direction or if you just need some crazy yet motivating exercises to integrate into your workouts, you'll get it here! During the warmer months we'll get outside so gear up!
